Coming back to the present


At times, if I'll experience you to go into story mode of the past, I may offer or suggest bringing awareness to how things are occurring for you in the present moment.


During our call I may pause you to bring awareness to the following:


Using the word - You vs I.


When you are talking loud to me you make me feel upset.

VS.

When I hear you yell, I feel upset.

PAUSING


Sometimes I find I need a moment to simply take a breath. I find this supports my ability to slow things down which offers me space to be more present in my current experience.

Is there anything else you'd like to share that could support this journey?

Suggested Framework



• We will begin the call to a connect to self: 3-5 min


This will allow all participants to connect how they are arriving in that moment. This is simply an opportunity to be present with your current experience.


• After connect to self and prior to end of call reflection


After connect to self, we can open the conversation to what is alive for you in the present moment. This might have changed from your original reason of why you scheduled the call. That’s ok. I have found that exploring what is most alive in the current moment can support

me in being more present with myself. All is welcome.


• Last 5-10 minutes


Reflection: What are you walking away with from our session that might be supportive. Any shift and changes from prior to the call that we would like to explore?
